Collin County Adventure Camp (CCAC)
is operated by the YMCA and is owned by Collin County. Comprised of
427 acres CCAC serves as a youth camp and corporate retreat and is able
to accommodate groups of up to 500 people.
Wood Badge 96 is excited to partner
with the YMCA to provide a comfortable, modern environment for our course
which takes place during a time of year which can be very dynamic with
regards to weather.
Staff and participants will sleep
in CCAC cabins for weekend 1 and it is our intention to have a cabin
per patrol. To support a co-ed environment, female participants will
have their own dedicated cabin(s). All meals for weekend one will be
prepared and served by CCAC dining hall staff.
For weekend 2, our outdoor experience
will take place in tents with nearby restroom facilities. Should weather
conditions warrant, the entire troop will sleep in one of the larger
buildings. Patrols will eat "backpacking" style meals which they will
prepare.
